Martha Matsuoka is the Executive Director of the Urban & Environmental Policy Institute and an Associate Professor at Occidental College. Her teaching and research focus on environmental justice, community-based regionalism, sustainable community development, and social movements.
Megan Bomba manages the "Market Your Market" farmers market project, as well as school garden and school food policy projects. She is an adjunct professor in Occidental's Urban & Environmental Policy Department.
Sharon Cech leads the LA Farm to School Network and other regional food systems and food assistance research projects at UEPI. She is an adjunct professor in Occidental's Urban & Environmental Policy Department.
Rosa Romero manages the Northeast Los Angeles Farm to School & Wellness Initiative and Farm to Preschool projects. She is an adjunct professor in Occidental's Urban & Environmental Policy Department.
Raquel Galarza is the Health Education Manager for the Northeast LA Farm to School & Wellness Initiative at UEPI.
Christine Chuong oversees grant management and compliance at UEPI. Other responsibilities include processing invoices and contracts, liaison with partners, assisting with financial reporting requirements, record keeping and working with the PI and Project Director to plan and execute short and long-term objectives.
