Covid-19 Resources: Open Farmers’ Markets

Many Farmers’ Markets are Open!

Farmers’ markets are a critically important community food resource and are considered an essential service according to the governor’s COVID-19 safer at home orders. However, due to overcrowding at markets, Mayor Eric Garcetti announced on March 30th that all farmers’ markets in the City of Los Angeles will be temporarily closed until they have an approved COVID-19 operational plan. Many Los Angeles farmers’ markets have already submitted plans and received approval and are now on the City’s COVID-19 Approved Farmers’ Market List. We will continue updating our list of open farmers’ markets in the greater Los Angeles area as we get new information, so please check back. Some open markets may not be on our list yet though, so it’s also a good idea to check your market’s website or social media for the latest updates.

If you know of any market updates or resources that should be added to our list, please email cech@oxy.edu
